Supply Chain Advisory Committee Selects FLS’ GM
April 26, 2013We are proud to announce that Facility Logistic Services’ very own Joe Shimeck, general manager at our Neenah, WI facilities has been selected to participate on a supply chain advisory committee for Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, WI, called Supply Chain Solutions.
The supply chain advisory committee was developed to assist Fox Valley Technical College with their strategic plans. Specifically the program will aim to achieve the following.
1) Improve learning agility
2) Increase innovation in the Supply Chain education process
3) Improve student success
4) Create a robust partnership between employers and the college
5) Develop a cohesive culture
Joe Shemick joined FLS in 2012 as General Manager of the Neenah, WI facilities and brought with him over 18 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing/supply chain, customer relations management, automation and maintenance operations.
Like all employees of Facility Logistic Services, Joe is a firm believer and advocate for safety mindedness. He is equally passionate about customer service and the development and welfare of his team. As a lean/continuous-improvement practitioner, he believes exemplary safety, customer relations management and crew morale are the keys to success.
A native of Milwaukee, WI, Joe attended Milwaukee Area Technical College where he studied industrial engineering technology and automation. Joe is a graduate of Dale Carnegie Training in interpersonal communication and human relations and is certified as a Supply Chain Professional through APICS, The Association for Operations Management.
